Release Stored Stress. Reconnect With Your Body.
Gentle, nervous-system based care to help your body unwind tension, pain and overwhelm naturally.
The body holds an incredible wisdom, a healing force that flows effortlessly up and down the spine when we allow it. Through Spinal Flow , we connect to this life force and awaken the body's natural ability to heal itself.
- Dr Carli Axford (founder of the spinal flow technique)
We are all born with an inner system designed to support us — to help us grow, heal, and find balance. This natural intelligence works through the nervous system, guiding how we move, rest, respond to stress, and restore.
The spine plays a key role in this support system, acting as a communication pathway between the brain and body. When life feels demanding or overwhelming, the nervous system can become stuck in survival mode, often showing up as tension, fatigue, poor sleep, anxiety, or feeling disconnected from yourself.
Spinal Flow is a gentle, non-invasive approach that works with the body rather than against it. By supporting the nervous system through the spine, it helps release stored stress and encourages a return to calm, clarity, and balance.
So you can feel supported — inside your body, and in your life.
YOUR FIRST STEP
Because the body releases tension in layers, one visit often starts the change,
but a few close together help the nervous system hold it.
For that reason, most people begin with a short care series. But before care can begin, an initial consultation session is essential in determining how your body has been holding stress and how to support it effectively.

FAQs
1. What is Spinal Flow? Spinal Flow is a gentle, non-invasive way of supporting your nervous system through the spine. It works with your body’s natural ability to regulate, release stress, and restore balance — so you can feel supported, inside and out.
When you arrive, we begin with a short conversation about what’s been happening in your body — stress, pain, fatigue, sleep, overwhelm. This helps us understand your nervous system patterns. You remain fully clothed and lie comfortably on the table. Using gentle contacts along specific points of the spine, I help your brain reconnect with areas holding protective tension. There is no manipulation, cracking or force. Your body does the work. Many people experience: •subtle waves or pulsing sensations •muscles softening •emotional release •deeper breathing •or simply a deep sense of calm Afterwards, we take a few minutes to notice what shifted. Changes can be subtle at first e.g. improved sleep, less tightness, clearer thinking and often build over a few visits. Spinal Flow is about helping the body feel safe enough to unwind.
5. How many sessions will I need? Spinal Flow isn’t about quick fixes. Some people notice shifts early, while others experience change gradually over time. Many clients choose ongoing sessions to support nervous system regulation, resilience, and long-term wellbeing.
2. How does Spinal Flow support the nervous system? Your spine is a key communication pathway between your brain and body. When stress builds up over time, the nervous system can become stuck in survival mode. Spinal Flow helps reduce stored tension along the spine, allowing the nervous system to communicate more clearly and settle into a calmer, more balanced state.
4. Who is Spinal Flow for? Spinal Flow may support you if you: •feel tight, wired or constantly "on" •anxiety or emotional overwhelm •carry neck, jaw or back tension •struggle with sleep or fatigue •fatigue or low energy •sleep difficulties •digestive discomfort •have tried massage but tension returns •feel emotionally overloaded or burnt out Your body isn't broken. It's protecting you. Spinal Flow helps it feel safe enough to soften.
6. How is Spinal Flow different from massage or chiropractic? Spinal Flow doesn’t aim to fix or correct the body. Instead, it focuses on how stress is held in the nervous system and supports clearer communication between the brain and body — allowing your system to do what it already knows how to do.
